Paul and John were absolutely incredible hosts. Upon arrival at the house we found a kitchen supplied with snacks, both healthy and sweet and a good supply of coffee. If you are thinking about Paul cooking dinner you will not be disappointed. The house is lovely, brilliantly decorated, each room has a full bathroom. You will not be disappointed.
Most excellent bed and breakfast. Comfy rooms, modern amenities, efficient, effective and fabulous hosts. To miss one of Paul's specials at breakfast would be a crime. The house is 10 minutes walk from where the Fringe gigs start so it's convenient and quiet at night which is important during the mad Fringe month.
My boyfriend arranged a little weekend getaway for us in Edinburgh and had booked us a room in this guest house. It was LOVELY! I really enjoyed my stay there - the room, the honesty bar, the breakfast.. and last but not least: our hosts. They made us feel welcome, and it felt more like a home than a hotel. Friendly, cozy place where we'll definitely return one day! Even the fact that our airline had lost my luggage (which I did receive in the end, when we were back in Geneva) didn't matter - everything was perfect. :)
Great place that's a stones throw away from edinburgh. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Would be great for a large group who are food orientated. To get the final star.. the place needs slight upgrades, such as a games room or updated media room, but nothing that would stop me coming back.
John and Paul and Molli the dog were great. Paul is very enthusiastic and John is a little more mellow and together they make a caring and attentive team. The breakfast food was WONDERFUL. Not one bad thing to say. I would stay here over and over
We had an absolutely incredible stay at 94DR! The house is beautifully styled—clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. One of our favorite moments was relaxing by the outdoor fire in the evenings, which added such a cozy touch to our stay. We also opted for the "Heat & Eat" meal service, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough! It was such a treat to come back to the house with everything prepared—all we had to do was pop it in the oven. Super convenient and delicious! Paul’s hospitality is exceptional—he truly has a heart of gold. His service made our stay even more memorable. I highly recommend 94DR for a group stay in Edinburgh!
If there were 10 stars this would be the place! Paul and John are very gracious and hospital hosts. The homeade breakfast was the best that I have had in my 12 day visit to Scotland. Room was very comfortable and the guest house is in walking distance of downtown Edinburgh. Would love to stay there again for another visit.
Room with a view and an amazing place to stay. Minutes by cab or enjoyable 20 min walk into city. From the moment we arrived being greeted by Paul at front door with open arms to the time we left it was excellent. Paul and John were fantastic hosts, the breakfasts were 1st class!!
